I receive many of emails/calls from individuals in a job search but more and more of them tell me that they would like to make a career transition but they don’t know what they would like to do. However, if I come across an opportunity that I feel fits their background to give them a call.

Huh! (scratching my head)….

That is what I feel like when individuals tell me that. Many assume recruiters “know-it-all” and have the job they want in their back pocket. Many of us, recruiters, wish we did. But unfortunately that is not the case.

Recruiters need to understand what the job seekers wants, needs, and what they have to offer their next employer. If one is in a career transition they need to do some soul searching and answer the tough questions.
