60 day check-in. Are you staying on top of your 2016 goals? Sharing your goals with others holds you accountable, if you need someone to share them with please let me know, I’d be happy to listen.

I’ll go first. I have decided that 2016 was going to be a year of abundance. Abundance can show up in many formats: as money, promotions, new job/career, new opportunities, new partners or team players, new relationships, and so forth. For me I am focusing on the positive aspects by having an abundance mindset. I’ve read that with an abundance mindset focus on creating of new options, which in turn leads to bigger thinking. With an abundance mindset, people ask “what if” and “why not?”

If I have an abundance mindset, I tend to see everything in terms of win-win. There are unlimited resources and I am genuinely happy for the success, well-being, achievements, recognition, and good fortune of other people. I love to contribute to and celebrate the accomplishments of my friends, associates, and even competitors. The better they do, the better I do. Success generates more success. In my way of thinking, there is plenty to go around. I win. You win. We all win!

Business author Steven Covey discussed this “abundance mentality” in his 1989 bestselling book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. An abundance mentality occurs when a person believes there are enough resources and success to share with others, and Covey argues that turning this belief into a personal habit soon leads to leadership results.

By embracing an abundance mindset, business leaders can become more innovative and growth-oriented in their own world and that is my goal in my world.

Your turn to share….comment or send me an email, I’d love to hear yours.
